Athens Social Entrepreneurship Academy

23 – 27 July 2018 – We hosted and organized the “Athens Social Entrepreneurship Academy” for a group of would-be social entrepreneurs from Qatar in collaboration with the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC), the Nama Center and the Innovation Farm.

Twenty-five enthusiastic participants attended daily workshops on social entrepreneurship and also visited NPOs and social enterprises in their premises such as the Margarita Vocational Training Center and Humane in order to meet their teams and learn more about their work.

Moreover, during the workshops, we invited as guest speakers, representatives of Institutions, Companies, and NPOs. The speakers were Rosalyn Benjamin, Program Officer from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Spyros Arsenis, NBG Business Seeds Coordinator, Aggeliki Papadopoulou, Corporate Affairs Manager from Nestle Hellas, Alexandros Theodoridis, Founding Member of Boroume, Thanasis Vratimos, Strategy & Operations Coordinator from GIVMED, Emilia Douka, Communication & Social Program Manager at Shedia Road Paper, and Dimitra Kountourioti, Operations Manager and Natasa Asimakopoulou, Development & Marketing Coordinator at Ithaca.
