More specifically, the services provided in the Incubator program are the following:

  • Tailor-made educational seminars based on the NGOs’ needs.
  • Individual advisory meetings with partners and management to address your general or special needs. 
  • Best practices and networking with major Greek and international NGOs. 
  • Job-Shadowing in a large NGO.
  • Opportunity to participate in an international NGO Internship Program.
  • Ability to set your head office at HIGGS premises.

*All the participants of the Incubator program may use HIGGS’s premises (meeting rooms & events room) at no cost.

All participants in the Incubator program have to attend the training seminar provided by HIGGS which takes place during the first 3 weeks of their presence in the organization.

The training program has been specifically designed for the NGOs operating in Greece and lasts for 3 weeks totally 80 hours, covering 16 thematic areas. Its aim is to provide the appropriate skills and necessary knowledge that will add value to the NGOs’ operation in general, and more specifically, to the development of successful funding proposals.

Course Hours

The duration of the training program (Bootcamp) is 80 hours and it spans 3 weeks. The first 2 weeks include morning lessons (10:00-16:00), the last one afternoon lessons (17:00-20:30).

The reason for which the lessons alternate is to enable participants have some time available for their regular job responsibilities in the organizations in which they are employed.


Upon completion of the third week, the participants have to take an examination which aims to evaluate whether they have acquired a comprehensive knowledge of what they have been taught. 

Following your successful result in the exam, you receive a certificate of attendance which can be included in your personal resume as well as in your organization’s credentials.

Additional training courses and customized workshops are provided both in the Ιncubator and Accelerator programs based on individual needs and level of each participating NGO.

If you wish to apply for the Incubator program, you have to fill out the relevant application form.

Incubator Application Criteria 

  • Individuals interested in creating an NGO, newly established NGOs (up to 2 years of opereration), or NGOs that aim at redesigning their strategy.

  • The head office of the NGO has to be in Greece.

  • Submission of applications until September, 24th, 2018, 18:00.

Incubator Selection Criteria

  • Originality of the idea and knowledge of the respective field and the problem the NGO aims to solve: 30%

  • Maturity of the idea, strategic planning: 30%

  • Motivation of the Management team: 30%
  • Creation of new jobs: 10%
