We all, the HIGGS team and our specialized partners, are at your disposal on a daily basis to provide you with support and counseling on issues relating to the development of your proposals and the overall operation of the organization which you represent.

What is more, our experienced external associates (lawyers, tax consultants, accountants, Marketing and Communication experts), may advise you individually or in groups on significant issues that concern you.

More specifically, the services provided in the Accelerator program are the following:

  • Tailor-made educational seminars based on the NGOs’ needs.
  • Daily support on the development of fundraising proposals directed to domestic and international donors.
  • Skype calls with international non-profit organizations for the exchange of views, experiences and the presentation of best practices.
  • Networking with major NGOs operating in Greece and abroad.
  • Liaison with the NGOs participating in the Incubator program for the submission of joint fundraising proposals.

*All the participants of the Accelerator program may use HIGGS’s premises (meeting rooms & events room) at no cost.


All participants in the Accelerator program have to attend the training seminar provided by HIGGS which takes place during the first 3 weeks of their presence in the organization.

The training program has been especially designed for the NGOs operating in Greece and lasts for 3 weeks, totally 80 hours, covering 16 thematic areas. Its aim is to provide the appropriate skills and necessary knowledge that will add value to the NGOs’ operation in general, and more specifically, to the development of successful funding proposals.

Course hours

The duration of the training program |bootcamp| is 80 hours and for the first time, it spans 3 weeks (the bootcamp of the first 7 cycles of Accelerator lasted for 1 month). The first two weeks include morning lessons |10:00 – 16:00|, while the third one includes afternoon lessons |17:00-20:30|.


Upon completion of the third and last week, participants have to take an examination which aims to evaluate whether they have acquired a comprehensive knowledge of what they have been taughtFollowing your successful result in the exam, you receive a certificate of attendance which can be included in your personal resume as well as in your organization’s credentials.

Additional training courses and customized workshops are provided both in the Ιncubator and Accelerator programs based on the individual needs and level of each participating NGO.

Submission Instructions

The organizations participating in the Accelerator program are selected based on the fundraising proposal that they submit. We focus only on small or medium-sized NGOs with at least 2 years of operation and a maximum number of 40 permanent and full-time employees.
