Capacity-building of the NPOs in Greece
HIGGS | Higher Incubator Giving Growth & Sustainability | was created on the initiative and founding donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, with the aim of strengthening the Nonprofit Organizations | NPO | operating in Greece.
HIGGS’s actions focus on three main pillars, the Incubator | Incubator |, the Accelerator | Accelerator |, and the Point | Meeting Point |, with programs developed for the first time in Greece in a neoclassical building in Metaxourgio.
“We believe that the ideas can become reality when provided with appropriate techniques and experience. We are here to help those who help, those ordinary people who have good ideas, intentions and willingness to offer to society”, says Sotiris Petropoulos |Director HIGGS|.
“Civil society in Greece has repeatedly demonstrated its soul and its willingness to offer with personal time and new ideas. All that is needed is access to knowledge and opportunities for partnerships. This is exactly what HIGGS provides: A meeting point of training and exchange of ideas for all those who want to put into practice their desire to offer”, says the Educational Grants Coordinator, Eva Polyzogopoulou.
